No matter what I do, I can't hear any sounds whenever I play Heretic.  After going through setup a lot of times, I found that it never saved my settings.

Can anyone please help?  It's not easy to play this game if you can't hear anything...

are you running it using DOS Box, or running it straight from windows?

Straight from Windows.  Would it make a difference if I used a DOS Box?

The version here dosbox.sourceforge.net emulates an old pc, you can speed up and slow down games, it also emulates sound cards.

Try this copy. I got it from a different site, and haven't had any problems with it.

The Underdogs moved to the-underdogs.info quite some time ago. If you tried signing up at the .org site that could be the problem.
