Would an age verification for that section have been sufficient? Also, did the adult ads hurt traffic that much? Or was it a cultural decision?
Stefan	Posted - Fri, 22 February 2008 @ 12:12 I think it was necessary to remove the adult games in order to to drop the adult advertising. The advertising was inappropriate for the kind of site this is. If people want porn they can find it easily enough online without the use of advertising on a site frequented by minors. I'm not a prude, far from it. I do have a 7 year old son and 9 year old daughter who like to sit with me and pick out cool games to play. Luckily I have Adblock so none of it comes through to me anyway. But I'm sure I'm not the only father who plays computer games with his kids.
