"Controlling the king's actions, a dark force has possessed the body of the once merciful Lysandia ruler, and now with the intent on curtailing the planet's predestined future, you are called into action to repair the newly created void in the Lysandian universe. The title you've retained is ""fixer"", a demigod capable of restoring the peace and prosperity to Lysandia, but to do this requires your investigative skills to locate the evil and eliminate it for good. Taking players back to the RPG standards of the early 80s, Excelsior Phase One: Lysandia is essentially a MUD type game with character defining, symbolic ASCII icons, and a looming narrative to describe the world around you. There are some differences that you'll see in Excelsior, which veteran MUD gamers especially non-conformist might detest such as the controls and graphics. In defense, Excelsior does what it promises, and upholds the era's classic-style even with a culture gap into the mid 90s."
