Whatever happened to....
Author | Topic |
Posted - Sat, 14 April 2007 @ 23:45 Whatever happened to the magic of dos rpg games. Surely they weren't the best of graphics right, but they had character. Fallout---Certainly a complex and massively unfinished game but magical right, blow stuff up, play goodie-goodie, Steal things and sell them back to whence the came, Or for those that may remeber even farther back to wasteland a game which spawned fallout and many other games which we came to love for both dos and the original 'higher-end' platforms {sega, snes, nes,ATARI:JAGUAR etc...} Which leads us back to my question, what happened, it seems like we traded gameplay, replayability and story for Hi-Rez graphics and better sounds. I mean when it boils right down to it, do I really want to see a screen with a lake on it with water that looks better than water...... if I want to look at some kick ass water I'll pour myself a glass and watch it for free, or whatever I pay for water tax. No.!! Give me back my 'low-Rez' I would trade it all for an original well planned and executed story line with or without all the bugs that come with it, give me an open ended story, leave me with the impression your going to make a sequel and I will care not whether you make one. Whatever did happen to all that magic.....

Posted - Tue, 17 April 2007 @ 03:31 I see your point what happened to the low-rez rpg games I liked playing those they were so much fun. Hey maybe when willisx32 is done with this game that he is working on maybe you can ask him to make one of those low-rez RPG games for you. |
